What brands do we repair?  

We can repair Alphason, Anthem, Arcam, Audio Control, Cyrus, Meridian, Mission, Rotel, Soundcraft, Sonos, Sonneteer and Wharfedale products; however, If your particular brand isn’t listed its not we don’t do it we just have not listed it.

What do we repair?

We repair a huge variety of audio equipment, including CD Players, Amplifiers,  Tuners, DVD players, Phono Stage Amplifiers, DACs, DSP Speakers and Pro Audio Equipment, so feel free to get in touch to discuss any issues you may have.


Repair Terms & Conditions (Dec 2023)

  1. Agreement to Terms
    • By paying the deposit, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
    • These Terms operate in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law, which remain unaffected.
  2. Deposit
    • All items are subject to a non-refundable deposit of £70, payable at the time of booking.
    • This deposit covers the first hour of labour and will be deducted from the final repair cost.
  3. Estimates
    • If the total cost of repair is likely to exceed £100, an estimate will be provided before proceeding.
    • Customers may specify a higher pre-approved repair limit at the time of enquiry.
  4. Fixed-Price Services
    • Where a customer requests a specific service (such as a recap, speaker driver replacement, or upgrade), the cost for that service is fixed in advance.
    • Such services will be invoiced at the agreed rate without the need for further acceptance.
  5. Non-Refundable Situations
    • The deposit is retained where:
      • An estimate is refused,
      • The item is deemed beyond economic repair,
      • Required parts are unobtainable, or
      • No fault is found.
  6. Parts
    • Replacement parts are charged in addition to the deposit and labour costs.
    • All parts supplied are new or manufacturer-approved equivalents, unless otherwise agreed.
  7. Repair Time
    • Average repair times range from 1–3 hours, depending on complexity and availability of parts.
    • We will carry out services within a reasonable time, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
  8. Warranty
    • All repairs are covered by a 6-month warranty on both replaced parts and labour carried out.
    • This warranty does not affect your statutory rights relating to faulty goods or services.
  9. Liability
    • While all reasonable care is taken, we cannot accept responsibility for:
      • Pre-existing faults or damage,
      • Data loss from electronic equipment, or
      • Damage caused during customer-arranged shipping.
    • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any other liability which cannot be excluded under UK law.
  10. Shipping
    • Customers are responsible for shipping items to and from the Mr Tech Guy repair centre.
    • We can provide a return shipping quote upon completion of the repair if required.
  11. Uncollected Items
    • The company reserves the right to dispose of or resell items not collected within three (3) months of the customer being notified that the repair is complete, in line with the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977.
  12. Delays
    • Since the COVID-19 pandemic, we have experienced delays in receiving supplier parts, and although we do everything possible, the shipping of quality parts can still cause delays in repairs. We will let you know on our systems if this is affecting your repairs.
